The Story Behind Megan Blake
As the Executive Assistant at Clear Water Capital, Megan Blake keeps the company’s engine running smoothly and efficiently. From opening and maintaining accounts to managing the team calendars and meetings to handling day-to-day logistics and processes, Megan is the essence of organization.
She’s also a first-class pro at customer service, a skill that she honed for 10 years when working in the hospitality business at Hilton entities like the Hilton Hotel & Spa at Short Pump or the Hilton Inn at Innsbrook. As an executive concierge at Hilton, she managed the elite Diamond members and catered to their every need and expectation throughout their stay on the property.
After leaving Hilton, she worked in event planning and sales for a large wine and spirits distributor. It was while at a country club engagement that she ran into Tyler White, who asked if she might be interested in working at Clear Water Capital. In the space of a New York minute, she jumped at the opportunity with its promise of a better work/life balance that has been a blessing for her and her family.
“I like problem-solving and being presented with something that needs a solution,” says Megan, a big fan of puzzles of all kinds. She especially enjoys collaborating with Nick and the two Tyler’s’ to deliver an exceptional quality of service and care to every client. “The three guys offer strategies from their unique perspectives so our clients can be provided with custom-designed financial plan.”
Megan taps into her creative side by making jewelry, including earrings, bracelets and crochet-stitch beaded necklaces that she sells on Etsy or gifts to friends and family. Along with having two children, she has a cat named Mila Kunis and a dog named Iggy Azalea.
