The Story Behind Tyler League
From an early age, Tyler League was fascinated by numbers and always gravitated toward anything related to personal finances. It’s no surprise that he studied mathematics for his bachelor’s degree at James Madison University. Then his career path veered along a different route into education, when he earned a master’s degree and an advanced certification in that field, all from JMU (Go Dukes!).
Prior to joining Clear Water Capital, he spent several years teaching at Hanover High School and also serving as an assistant principal at Hermitage High School. Coincidentally, his financial advisor was Tyler White, who shared that he was starting a new investment/wealth management firm with Nick Chavis. “I was actually considering going into the business of financial advising with another company, so I was very excited about the opportunity to join forces with Tyler White and Nick,” says Tyler.
In his position as a Financial Advisor, he enjoys helping clients create a financial plan that helps eliminate any stress they might have had about securing a future for themselves or their families. “When you have a good financial plan, it can really ease your mind, and that’s what we aim to do,” adds Tyler. “We’re not transaction-oriented. We want to partner with our clients for lifetime.”
Tyler lives in Hanover County with his wife, two young children and a border collie mix. Outside of work, you can find him on the golf course, working out, or spending lots of quality time with his family. Beach vacations on the Outer Banks of North Carolina are mandatory dates on the summer calendar.
